Big News at The Family Room!

Beginning on October 7, 2011, we are launching a second site in southeast Evanston.  In response to the wishes of our families and our donors we are meeting two needs in one: a drop-in program on Fridays and a location that is more convenient for our south Evanston and Rogers Park families. We hope to see welcome some new friends, too! Our new site is also a great collaboration with the non-profit organization, The Musical Offering.  To learn more about them here or follow the link on our home page.  They have recently expanded and renovated their site at 743 Custer Street, south of Main Street. The start-up costs for this new program have been covered by several generous donors.

Beginning on October 7, a weekly Friday drop-in will be available from 9:30-11 at The Musical Offering.

We will have our same routine with a variety of toys, and projects, and of course, our signature Circle Time with Brown Bear and Roll-the-Ball.  More importantly, our professional staff will be on-hand to answer your questions. We will continue to serve free coffee and crackers for the children. Parking is conveniently located on the street, without meters.  If you currently have a punchcard at Central St. we will honor those at Custer Street as well, but we will not be selling punchcards for exclusive use at that location.  We will be taking daily fees ($15 per family), and will be taking cash or checks only.  Payments with credit cards can also be made on our website.

We hope that even if you are a “northsider” you will make your way, just 10 minutes south, and check out our new space.  There is nothing quite like going south for the winter!!
